Jenny/Malleto Malady here. This page doubles as a “transparency page” of sorts. Let’s get into it.

Information Collected

We do not collect nor store any personal information from you. If you’ve noticed, this site doesn’t have any kind of contact form–and any “comments” or “ads” you see are part of the creative project.

There are interactive elements on this site that may use information stored locally on your device. Again, none of this is collected nor retained server-side.

For example, say you visit a page that looks different every even number of times you visit it. A counter of the number of times you’ve visited that page may be kept in a locally stored variable.

Cloudflare: Third-Party Service

This site is hosted on Cloudflare as a third-party service. Many sites on the web use Cloudflare, and you wind up subject to their privacy policy when visiting such sites. You can look at their policy here for further information. The possibility of me jumping to a different host is never zero, so I’ll update this page if anything changes.

If you have any questions about the Privacy Policy given here, or you wish to contact me about generally anything, I can be reached me at “privacy.demystify907” at (@) “passinbox.com”. That’s a wild email address, yeah; that’s because it’s an alias for the main one I be using for this site.

I’m a hermit disillusioned by the ever-growing role of bots, you see, and have heard stories about spam bots yoinking email addresses listed on websites. However, as I also want to be transparent enough to be contacted, this is the compromise.

If my alias is assaulted by spam emails, I can always disable it and make another that forwards to my main email; in that vein, if the email address given here changes as time goes on, y’all know what happened.

While I have an Instagram, I’m notorious for leaving DMs unread–even from my mutuals. An email really is the best way to have me spawn in.

Other Disclaimers

We don’t use AI for anything you experience on this site.

Nobody involved in this project uses AI. Using AI would just defeat the purpose of this passion project.

Elixiink and I don’t condone any content being used for AI training either, for whatever that’s worth.

For some pages on the site, I’ve taken inspirations from free templates that give the permission to be used for anything without credit, and anything on the site that is not outwardly credited to someone else was either created by Elixiink, created by me, tweaked from free use media, or inspired by free use media.

Elixiink’s artwork is very distinct (and clean, and oh dear, oh gorgeous) when pit against my horrorish works, simple pixels, and anything else that I’ve felt the need to make. If I missed appropriately naming image sources with who made them, I hope it should be obvious enough (even through alt text).

Any music here has been made myself with Ableton Live 10, which I bought on a student discount some years ago. Sounds have been warped and mixed with things like GarageBand. As the site goes on, the amount of sounds and voice clips I make and dement will likely increase.

It feels very fulfilling to tackle so many aspects of this site with Elixiink. Regardless of whether or not this site sees actual human beings as web traffic, I just wanted to establish this right out the gate for transparency’s sake.

For example, you couldn’t pay me to use X. Seriously. Elixiink has X and TikTok, but if socials aren’t mentioned on our link pages, they likely won’t be updated anymore. See Elixiink’s page for her most active social media.

For transparency’s sake: This project is connected to a YouTube channel of a different name that keeps videos unlisted until further notice: GBA TV Productions (@GBA-TV-Productions); it also has an Instagram account by that same name, but it hasn’t been used to post anything yet. There should be links to these pages that you’ll find as you experience the site.

Also, there’s a ko-fi I made (“malletomalady” as the slug) that isn’t accepting donations. I may play with making update posts there in the future–or I may delete it and use a place more optimized for blogging.

If any of this changes, I’ll update this page.

PSA on Internet Privacy

Your personal data is important, and regardless of where you’re situated in the world, it’s a very good idea to safeguard your data however you can–even if privacy is an illusion in a lot of ways. I taught myself how to code, and host this site out-of-pocket in this way, because the last thing I want is to subject anybody glancing at creative works to be targeted by predatory ads on this site; I’m sure Elixiink feels the same way. Any “ads” you see are just part of the site experience.

If you’re reading this, I would recommend taking the actions needed to move away from any reliance you have on big name browsers, search engines, and/or social media that don’t provide some kind of privacy guarantee.

It pays to do your research; I won’t be endorsing anything specific here, but this is just a reminder that the Internet will only get more and more intrusive as language-learning models keep developing.

Educate and protect yourselves.
